07The voucher cannot be applied toward outstanding balances or arrears.

What is the AlarmTek Protected Home Transfer Program?
The program is designed for eligible existing AlarmTek customers who are moving. Instead of removing the AlarmTek equipment from the home they're leaving, customers leave the complete system installed and may receive a New Home Protection Voucher toward protecting their next home.
Do I need to remove my AlarmTek equipment when I move?
No. To qualify for the Protected Home Transfer Program, the complete AlarmTek system must remain installed in the home you're leaving.
Why should I leave my security system when I sell?
Leaving your AlarmTek system installed can help keep the property protected, avoid unnecessary removal and potential wall repairs, provide another feature for prospective buyers and give the new homeowner a security system that's already installed and ready for activation.
What happens to the system after I sell my house?
The system remains installed in the home. The purchaser can contact AlarmTek to activate it and arrange professional monitoring.
What benefit do I receive when I move?
Eligible customers may receive Standard: $350; Diamond Security: $450; Diamond Security + Video: $500; Platinum Care: $750 plus 3 months monitoring and installation labour. Eligibility and program requirements apply.
Does the buyer take over my financing?
No. Any existing financing agreement remains the responsibility of the original customer and does not transfer to the purchaser.
Can I take some of the equipment with me?
Not under the Protected Home Transfer Program. The complete existing AlarmTek system must remain installed in the home you're leaving to qualify for the applicable benefits.
Can I receive the voucher as cash?
No. The New Home Protection Voucher has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Can I use my voucher to pay an outstanding AlarmTek balance?
No. The voucher cannot be applied to arrears or outstanding account balances.
Can I transfer my voucher to somebody else?
No. The voucher is non-transferable and can only be used by the eligible customer toward approved AlarmTek equipment and installation at their new residence.
How long does the purchaser have to activate the system?
Any applicable bonus expires 180 days after the applicable transfer date if the purchaser does not activate the existing system. The complete AlarmTek system must remain installed during the applicable period.
Do I qualify for the Diamond or Platinum benefits immediately?
Enhanced Diamond Security and Platinum Care benefits require at least 12 months of continuous enrollment in addition to the program's other eligibility requirements.
What if my new home is outside AlarmTek's service territory?
The Protected Home Transfer Program requires the new residence to be within AlarmTek's service territory. Call AlarmTek to confirm availability at your new address.
Will the new homeowner receive a home insurance discount?
Possibly. Some insurers provide discounts for qualifying professionally monitored security systems, but discounts and eligibility vary. The homeowner should confirm availability directly with their insurance provider.
What if I'm renting out my home instead of selling it?
Contact AlarmTek before you move. Program eligibility and account arrangements may depend on the circumstances of the property and service transfer.
